International students compete in sports, arts, and heritage performances The 1st Cultural and Sports Forum of International Students started today at Tanta University under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President, in attendance of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; many deans and vice deans of faculties; Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Manager of the Main Center for International Relations and International Students’ Welfare; and Mr. Mohammed Al-Kasir, General Manager of Youth Welfare; in the context of the university’ golden jubilee. Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; affirmed that an integrated plan is being implemented to enhance international students’ activities according to the instructions given by Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President. He asserted that the university is keen on supporting international students scientifically, psychologically, and physically. Moreover, Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, indicated that the forum seeks to support international students at different faculties of the university, and to attract more international students at the regional and world levels. Prof. Mahmoud Shakak pointed out that activities of the forum continue from current March 19th to 21st including sports performances, and sports tournament in futsal, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, speedball, fitness and arm wrestling. They also include heritage performances by international students and many competitions at the university’s level in drawing, plastic arts, poetry, story, novel, article, singing, music playing, religious tawasheeh, photography, documentaries, as well as a cultural symposium about communication among nations.
